Key info
- This program provides electricity concessions to eligible residents, who do not receive electricity concessions automatically through an electricity retailer.
- To be eligible you must have an electricity meter at your property and receive an itemised bill showing a metered connection from your embedded network operator. If you live in a caravan park, retirement village or in other circumstances where your landlord bills you separately for your electricity use from a metered connection, you live on an embedded electricity network.
- There are three concessions available, the low-income rebate, the medical cooling or heating concession, and the life support concession.
- You can apply online or by completing an application form (PDF, 376KB) and visiting a service centre. If you're applying for a medical cooling or heating concession or life support concession, you must also complete and lodge an extra form that includes a medical practitioner declaration.
