About applying for a veteran wellbeing voucher
The veteran wellbeing voucher program helps reduce the cost of sport and community recreation club membership for eligible veterans.
Voucher numbers will be emailed, posted or printed for you depending on how you apply.
You can give your voucher numbers to the participating activity provider to use your vouchers.
You can search for participating activity providers online.

- show your original proof of service and identity documents.
Can I apply?
You can apply for the veteran wellbeing voucher program if you:
- live in Tasmania
- are a member of an eligible gym, community recreation or sporting club that charges an annual fee
- are a veteran, with an Australian Defence Force (ADF) service number
- have an Australian Department of Veteran Affairs card (gold, white or general), or an Australian Defence Force Service card, or an Australian Department of Defence service card.
A veteran is defined as a person who has served in the ADF. The program does not include current serving members of the ADF or partners and dependants of ex-serving members.
Proving your identity
You must provide evidence of your name, date of birth and address. You must provide original documents. You can provide your:
- Tasmanian driver licence, or
- Tasmanian personal information card.
If you don't have a driver licence or personal information card, you can provide one document with your name and date of birth and one document with proof of your current address:
- Australian Birth certificate (or extract)
- Australian Citizenship papers
- Passport
- Change of Name or Marriage Certificate (from Births, Deaths and Marriages) to prove any name change
- Tasmanian firearms licence
- Australian Government issued pension card
- Recent bank statement or utility account with current residential address.
You must also provide your:
- Australian Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) card (gold, white or general), or
- Australian Defence Force Service Card, or
- Australian Department of Defence (DoD) card.
