Do you need to renew your Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) in 2026?  If you do, then jump the queue and renew early — once you receive your renewal reminder email - up to 3 months before expiry.

We've pulled together some frequently asked questions that will help you get your renewal done early:

How do I renew my RWVP early

It’s quick and easy to see when your RWVP expires and renew early at MyRWVP.

Option 1: Complete everything online

  • Log in to MyRWVP to complete your renewal application and pay your fee online.
  • If you don’t already have a myServiceTas account, create one.
  • Log in to your myServiceTas account to complete your RWVP identify verification online.

Option 2: Verify your identity in person

  • Log in to MyRWVP to complete your renewal application and pay your fee online.
  • Visit a service centre to have your identity verified in person and pay the renewal fee, if you haven’t already paid online.
    • Appointments are available at Service Tasmania Hobart and Service Tasmania Launceston.
    • Walk-in services are available at other Service Tasmania service centres.

Why should I renew my RWVP early?

There will be thousands of people renewing their RWVP in 2026. These high volumes may mean it takes longer than the usual 6 weeks for your renewal to be processed. Leaving your renewal to the last-minute means you run the risk of your RWVP expiring.

So take advantage and renew your RWVP early — you will receive your renewal reminder email or SMS up to 3 months before it expires (it will take effect from the date your current RWVP expires).

How do I do the identity verification online at myServiceTas?

  1. Log in (or create an account) at myServiceTas.
