OPEN for Residents of Glenlusk, Dolphin Sands and Levendale and Surrounds.
Overview
The Tasmanian Government is providing financial assistance to individuals and families who have been displaced from their home due to the December 2025 bushfire emergency.
This grant helps cover essential, immediate needs such as temporary accommodation, clothing, food, transport and personal items.
What you can get
Eligible applicants may receive:
- $250 per adult (18 years and over)
- $125 per child (under 18 years)
- Up to a maximum of $1,000 per family.
Eligible Locations
This grant program is only open to residents of the following areas:
- Glenlusk and surrounding areas
- Dolphin Sands and surrounding areas
- Levendale and surrounding areas
You must have been living in one of these locations at the time of the emergency to be eligible.
Who can apply
You may be eligible if you were affected by this emergency event and meet one or more of the following:
- You were directed or advised by an authority (Fire, SES or Police) to evacuate your residence.
- You were displaced from your residence because of the emergency.
- You were unable to return home due to the emergency.
Applicants must also meet the Eligible Locations requirement above.
