Apply to register a ride-source vehicle

Key info

• Your vehicle must be registered in Tasmania to be registered as a ride-source vehicle.
• You must visit a service centre and provide a small passenger vehicle inspection to have your registration changed to the ride-sourcing MAIB premium. An inspection is only valid for 30 days. 
• You or your booking service provider must be accredited to operate a passenger service. You must provide the accreditation certificate when your vehicle is inspected. This may be your own or your service provider's. 
• The driver of the vehicle must have a current ride-source ancillary licence.
