- Inspections are performed by vehicle examiners at approved inspection stations.
- Inspections are needed for all vehicles not currently registered in Tasmania (including vehicles previously registered interstate) and for vehicles with registration which expired more than three months ago.
- There are also a number of other reasons an inspection may be required.
