- It is compulsory by law for all eligible Australian citizens to enrol and vote in federal elections, by-elections and referendums. You can enrol to vote, update your name and/or address or get back on the electoral roll after being overseas online.
- You can also notify the Australian Electoral Commission if a relative has died. If a relative has dementia and they are no longer capable of understanding the nature and significance of enrolment and voting, you will need to complete the Objection claim that an elector should not be enrolled form (PDF, 1.3MB).
- You can also check your current electoral enrolment details. If you are living or going overseas, there are a range of ways available for you to enrol and vote.
