• Water and sewerage charges are the responsibility of the property owner. People who rent their homes will not receive a statement from TasWater.
• TasWater must be informed when a property is sold so the vendor and buyer receive the correct charges.
• TasWater updates ownership records within 10 business days of notification of sale. Notification of sale will only be accepted from the vendor's solicitor or conveyancer.
• Transfer information can be submitted using the online form.
