- The concession provides a 50% discount on property transfer duty fees for eligible pensioners (PDF, 120KB) who are downsizing their home in Tasmania.
- To apply you must submit an application form (PDF, 195KB) with all supporting documents by email to dutyhelp@treasury.tas.gov.au, or by post to The Commissioner of State Revenue, GPO Box 1374, Hobart 7001.
- You can also drop the application and supporting documents in person to the Ground floor 'Document Drop Box', Salamanca Building Parliament Square, 4 Salamanca Place, Hobart.
- Anyone who gets the 'pensioners downsizing to a new home duty concession' must live in the house for 6 months, beginning within 12 months of buying the property.
