  • The Student Assistance Scheme (STAS) provides help to low-income families with the cost of levies for students enrolled from kindergarten through to year 12.
  • The scheme is paid directly to schools and colleges rather than to families.
  • Catholic sector schools are not included in the scheme and requests for financial help must be made straight to the school.
