Apply for the Student Assistance Scheme

Key info

• The Student Assistance Scheme (STAS) provides help to low-income families with the cost of levies for students enrolled from kindergarten through to year 12. The scheme is paid directly to schools and colleges rather than to families.
• Catholic sector schools are not included in the scheme and requests for financial help must be made straight to the school.
• You can apply online or if you need access to a hard copy form, please contact your school, email stas@decyp.tas.gov.au or phone 1800 827 055. You cannot apply online if you have an existing STAS file or if you have applied previously. To add a student to your existing STAS file please email stas@decyp.tas.gov.au.
