  • This trial program allows eligible older Tasmanians to receive two $100 vouchers per year to help with the cost of sport and active recreation membership or registration.
  • You need to be 65 or older and be listed on a Services Australia health care or pensioner concession card. 
  • Applications are now closed for the 2024-25 financial year as all available vouchers in the first year of the trial have been issued.
  • Vouchers must be used at an approved activity provider by 6 June 2025.

About applying

The ticket to wellbeing program trial helps reduce the cost of sport and active recreation membership and registration for older Tasmanians. 

Applications are now closed for the 2024-25 financial year as all available vouchers in the first year of the trial have been issued.

Each voucher is worth up to $100. The voucher is not redeemable for cash.

How to apply

Online

The ticket to wellbeing voucher program

If you cannot complete the application online, please email tickettowellbeing@active.tas.gov.au or phone 1800 252 476.

What you need to apply

To apply online you will need: 

  • an email address
  • your Services Australia pensioner concession card, or
  • your Services Australia health care card. 

You will need to enter your card number during the application. The card details will be validated. 

Can I apply?

To apply for the ticket to wellbeing program you must:

  • be over 65 years of age
  • live in Tasmania
  • have a valid Services Australia pension concession or health card card.

Proving your identity

You need to provide details of your:

  • Services Australia health care card, or
  • Services Australia pensioner concession card.

The details will be verified electronically as part of your online application.

There is no cost associated with this service.

There is no payment required for this service.

More Information

Since it opened, the program has had a fantastic response, with several thousand eligible older people receiving vouchers to use towards the cost of sport and active recreation memberships and registrations to help them get active within their local communities. A large number of activity providers offering a wide range of activities have also registered with the program.

The program has now closed for new applications in this round as all available vouchers in the first year of the trial have been issued.
