What are RSS feeds?

RSS feeds are an easy way to see updates of new content from your favourite websites. If you subscribe to RSS feeds, you can be automatically alerted to changes to websites as they occur. These changes are collected and delivered to you by newsreader software and called an RSS Feed.

Choose from two ways:

RSS feeds via newsreader

Newsreader software can be a web-based service or downloaded to your computer.

If you use a web-based service then you can view all your RSS Feeds by going to the newsreader webpage and logging in.

If you use a newsreader you have downloaded then you will see the RSS via the newsreader on your computer.

1 For a web-based newsreader try:

Bloglines or Newsgator.
Sign up following their instructions.
Now you have your own personalised newsreader page.

2 Subscribe to your chosen RSS feed

Click on an orange RSS button or copy the URL of the RSS feed and go to your newsreader. Then follow the prompts to add a new feed.

3 That's it!

When your chosen RSS feed is updated the new content will show up in your RSS newsreader.
