Commonwealth Government Australian Multicultural Council
The AMC's priorities include advising the government on multicultural affairs and implementing a 'People of Australia Ambassadors' Program (including Tasmanian ambassadors)
Commonwealth Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship
Web site of the Australian Government department responsible for managing the entry, stay and settlement of people in Australia, and the promotion of a society that values Australian citizenship, appreciates cultural diversity and enables migrants to participate equitably
Commonwealth Government Diversity and Social Cohesion Program
An Australian Government initiative that evolved from the 'Living in Harmony' program (incorporating the former Diverse Australia Program and the National Action Plan to Build on Social Cohesion, Harmony and Security community grants). The primary objective of DSCP and the grants is to help not for profit community organisations turn plans into reality (with links to grant application forms as available)
Commonwealth Government Harmony Day
Details of Harmony Day celebrations held each year on 21 March to recognise Australia's cultural diversity, with a link to Tasmanian groups and events
State Government Migrant and multicultural communities
Community Development Division (CDD), in the Department of Premier and Cabinet, provides policy advice to government on issues relating to Tasmania's culturally diverse communities and enhances interaction between these communities and government

Commonwealth Government Migration Review Tribunal and Refugee Review Tribunal
The MRT and the RRT provide an independent and final merits review of decisions made in relation to visas to travel to, enter or stay in Australia

State Government Overseas Qualifications Assessment
Overseas Qualifications Assessment is the section of the Tasmanian Qualifications Authority (TQA) that advises migrants, refugees, and other permanent residents on procedures for recognition of their overseas qualifications, skills and experience

An online system that enables skilled workers interested in migrating to Australia to record their details to be considered for a skilled visa through an Expression of Interest (EOI) from 1 July
