Scope
State Government Land Capability Classification
The Land Capability Classification Assessment System is used to assess, classify and map land on a scale of 1:100 000 according to ability to support a range of crops on sustainable basis
State Government State Policy on the Protection of Agricultural Land 2009 (PDF file)
The purpose of this State Policy is to conserve and protect Tasmania's agricultural land so that it remains available for the sustainable development of agriculture, recognising the particular importance of prime agricultural land
