Commonwealth Government Australian State of the Environment (SoE) 2011 report
The report presents a comprehensive review of the state and trends of the environment; the pressures on it and the drivers of those pressures; management initiatives in place to address environmental concerns and the impacts of those initiatives; its resilience and the unmitigated risks that threaten it; and provide an overall outlook for the Australian environment

The State of the Environment (SoE) reports provide credible, evidence-based, statewide environmental information, designed for use by the general community and policy makers to help inform decision-making. The report summarises Tasmanian environmental conditions, trends and changes over a 5 yearly period, and provides recommendations for future management. SoE reports for Tasmania have been produced in 1997, 2003, and 2009
