Local Government Clarence Recycled Water (CRW)
Planning for the Coal River Recycled Water Scheme (trading as Clarence Recycled Water) commenced in 1995; its objective is to reduce the amount of effluent discharged into the Derwent estuary, to achieve beneficial and sustainable reuse of water, and to reduce the consumption of irrigation water sourced from the river. Hobart City Council offers a 100% rebate on Council's basic planning fee, and the building and plumbing administration fees where sound and permanent energy efficient principles and features are incorporated into the planning and design of new houses and additions to existing houses
