Local Government City of Hobart Art Prize
A Hobart City Council initiative, in partnership with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the prize is awarded annually for works in selected categories which change each year, and is open to artists, designers and craftspeople nationwide (Application form as available)
Local Government Glamorgan Spring Bay Council: photography competition (PDF file)
Photographers are invited to submit digital images taken within the Glamorgan Spring Bay municipal area. The photographs should capture the various landscapes, seasonal changes and diverse activities of the East Coast. Entries close 31 May 2012. Includes printable entry form
State Government Young Archies Awards
Information on the Young Archies Awards, modelled on the Archibald Prize. The awards are presented in grade categories, for the best portrait of a man, woman or child, created by a student in the Tasmanian government school or college. Links to guidelines and application form
